Side Match Information

Thursday, April 7th:
10AM–4PM Side Matches


Cost:

The cost is $15.00—shoot all day, any side matches, as many times as you like. If you choose to shoot only one side match, the cost is $5.00, payable at that particular side match—shoot it as many times as you like.

Categories:

Men's and ladies' in each category, except Couples.

Long Range Range

Buffalo/Single Shot Rifle—600 yards
Buffalo/Single Shot Rifle—300 yards
Lever or Pump-Action Rifle Caliber—300 yards

The buffalo/single shot/rifle-caliber side matches will be held on the long-range range. Watch for signs directing you to this range. Shooters in the buffalo/single shot/rifle-caliber side matches will be allowed 2 ranging shots. Shooters will then have 3 minutes (runs will be timed) to shoot 5 rounds at the target. Winner will be shooter with the most hits, with time being the tie-breaker.

Action Pistol Range

Lever or Pump-Action Pistol Caliber—100 yards
Shooter will be allowed 2 ranging shots, then 10 rounds for time.

Long Range Pistol— ~75 yards
5 rounds for time

Couples Event—Must be one man and one woman.

Smoky Mountain Outlaw—Come see what all the talk is about and try your hand at shooting a stage in the style of the Smoky Mountain Outlaw. The rifle is shot from the shoulder, pistols and shotgun are shot from the hip. What a HOOT!!!!!

Certificates are awarded for 1st place in each Side Match category and will be presented during the Shooters' and Vendors' Reception at The Cowboy Emporium (located at the Oak Ridge Civic Center) on Friday night at approximately 6:30PM.
