Jim Mayo has been working his fingers off on our forum and I asked if he could put a link from my webpage to our forum and have an Outlaw forum and here it is.

If anyone has anything they want to say about or to the Outlaws feel free. This will be linked from my webpage www.outlawshooters.com

If you have not seen it take a look. I will be sending more pictures to Mayo as we get them in. If you have some pictures or story's please share them with us.

The Pleasantly/Unpleasant Gang had a combined total of 23 misses Saturday.  Does this qualify us to view the Outlaws forum???

Hey Tombstone!

Glad to see the additional link for the Outlaws!

The buzz has picked up down here this year, and I think we will see it soon.

Merry Christmas

Howdy pards;
I have been shooting from the hip more or less since the early 60's. We even had a bunch of us US Army guys in Keedsyville , MD 1962. Every one always laughed at us Cowboys, but always came over and asked to shoot our SA's.
Never thought others liked to shoot that way. So I guess I we were closet Outlaws.
Will be checking  out this forum & the Outlaw site nightly!!!
Thanks for being there

Hey there Outlaws. Yesterday at our monthly match at The Pozo River Vigillance Committee in Santa Margarita, Ca. we had 11 first time Outlaw shooters. I don't think we've had that much fun for a while. Out of that 11, 10 shot black powder which made it real interesting, especially when we got to the poppers. Only one bird got killed.
We are trying to get enough people to shoot Outlaw at out John Wayne Shootout at Chorro Valley Regulators in Morro Bay.

Welcome to the forum and to the Outlaws, We shoot the KY State Blackpowder each year. It is a lot of fun and you are right, no one has as much fun.

At our monthly match we have a posse of Gunfighters and Outlaws that always shoot together, we never have a problem filling out the posse. However we can sure mess up the serious shooters, they tend to stay away from us.

Keep it up and good luck. Maybe I will see you down the trail sometime

Some thoughts on shooting the Outlaw Way.
In the real West,it was,in my opinion,mostly a duelist mindset. In a real gunfight,however,
it's what ever works best for the situation. I'm sure that from the hip shooting did occur, historically.
In movies,T.V.,and in our imagination, from the hip is the way to shoot.
That being said,Outlaw is not for new shooters(as Gunfighter shouldn't be),but for others it is the
way to have the most fun at a Cowboy Action match.
For those who can put aside ego and just have fun,Outlaw is the Way!

Good afternoon.  Let me introduce myself.  I am Kootenay Jack SASS#79341 and shoot with the Red Mountain Renegades out of Mission, B.C. Canada.  I came across your article in the Cowboy Chronicles Feb/10 addition, "The Outlaws are comin'".  Yes, I'm a little behind on my reading.  I was really impressed, I have always wanted to get up the courage to shoot from the hip but I held back.  Now that I know there is a growing group of shooters out there I will no longer hold back.  We have fun shoots every month and I will start with the one in August and see if I can get some others interested in this style and do a little pushing from this side of the border.  I will let you know how it works out.  I look forward to being part of this.  Thank you.

Welcome to the fun. Give it a try and don't get discouraged when you have misses. Outlaw is the funnest way to shoot if not the fastest. Some months you miss a lot and some you do really well. We shot yesterday, it was one of my off days it seems, I had about a dozen misses and I am pretty sure I was not in the top 3 Outlaws. We had about 60 shooters for our monthly match and at least 6 of them were shooting Outlaw. It is a growing class.

Some days your the bullet and some days your the steel.

Let us know how it goes.
