October 2007 Newsletter:

What a wonderful day for a shoot; calm, cool and sunny!!! Several of our pards attended the state match at Wartrace but we did have 56 cowboys and cowgirls participate in the October match at the ORSA range.

Three new visitors participated in our monthly match:  Pistol Creek Tom, Silver Stallion and Trooper Jake.  We hope you had a good time and hope to see ya again soon.

Anvil has placed in the top 5 or 10 in most of the matches he participated in this year and this month he finally came in as the top gun.  Widowmaker has been knocking at the door too and again came in second.  The other top ten in order were (sleepy) Fiddleback, Marshall Too Tall, Purly, Tucson Tuco, Moonshine Roberts, Keystone, Grey Duck and Slater.  An interesting side note is that the top three seniors Purly, Tucson Tuco and Grey Duck all were in the top 10 and finished in the same order as last month and almost at the same rankings.

Roma Jane was the top lady shooter this month.  The rest of the ladies (in order) were Ambush Annie, Cookie Lynn and Shortcake.
