Well
it is time for another Ranblins from the Ramrod or
as Lady Tombstone calls it Ranting’s from the
Ramrod. There is plenty to cover so lets get started.
Membership
dues are due now. It is $40 per member and $20 per
family member. Make checks to SMSS and get to Hombre
at soon as possible. It is better for SMSS if you
join SMSS and shoot as a member then to pay extra
to shoot as a guest, so gets those dues in.
I
hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and plan on a
great new year. Make plenty of resolutions that are
easy to break and a few resolutions that will stick,
like; try to shoot more often, or not letting a gun
go by again with out at least trying it out. Things
like that.
The
SMSO is quickly approaching. We will need to have
a few work days between then and now. Please mark
your calendars for January 19th as a full workday.
We need to build two shelters at bay 4, build some
covers on our porches and we will need to do a few
other projects at that time. We will also need to
work a few Sunday afternoons as the match gets closer.
We
are looking for volunteers to help at the SMSO. We
need Berm Marshals, Runners, Sidematch directors,
and parking lot rodies just to name the volunteers
we will need off of the top of my head. Please get
with Keystone to volunteer for the match or talk to
Last Kiss to volunteer to help on sidematch day.
Watch
the forum for updates on work days.
The
badges are in for those that ordered them. They will
be the price quoted plus shipping. I will have them
at the next shoot for anyone who ordered one.
We
have a RO I and RO II class scheduled for Saturday,
January 5th. If you would like to take either of these
classes please let Last Kiss know so she can plan
on the number of attendees. We strongly suggest everyone
get ROI at least. This class will help you understand
the finer points on safety and the basics for stage
design. It will make you a better shooter and much
more observant. It will also teach you what to do
between the times you are shooting your guns.
Until then keep your powder dry and your lead hot.
Tell next month,
Long Days and Pleasant Nights
