I am glad we are only having one shoot in February
this year where my attendance is required. The other
ones I go to are due to a loose screw or worse.
We are getting close to the Smoky Mountain Shoot Out
the last weekend in March. We have over one hundred
shooters registered now with more applications coming
in each day. If you want to shoot please get registered
so we can get a firm count of shooters and get the
posses assigned. We are pretty sure that this year
we can all shoot and work if you want to. We will
be running the two posse system with both morning
posses and afternoon posses, so if you shoot in the
morning you can still help in the afternoon and vice
a versa.
We
still have a few days of work to do at the range to
get ready. We need to put a roof on one front, build
an un-loading shed on bay six, and flush out the building
we had delivered last week. Lets plan on working next
Sunday, the 25th. We will start about 1:00 and go
from there.
It
was great seeing the shooters last week-end that braved
the cold and, well cold. We had a strong field of
contenders from both Wartrace over in Middle Tennessee
and Hooten up in McKee Kentucky. Thanks for making
the trip and I look forward to seeing everyone at
the Smoky Mountain Shoot Out.
As
I am sure just about everyone knows by now, Dangnabit
Deb is in the hospital and undergoing treatment for
Leukemia. She can not have visitors at this time and
is keeping everyone posted on her treatments on a
webpage called Carepages.com. We have a link and instructions
on how to get a message to her and keep up with her
progress on our forum as does the Ocoee Rangers. Please
keep Deb, Keystone and their family in your hearts
and prayers. They also have an account set up at Medic
for blood donations in Deb’s name. Just tell
them you are giving in Debbie Brenneman’s name
when you donate.
Please
watch the forum for updates on work days and the upcoming
shoot.
